Good speed effect.

Art/Animation: 6/10
This wasn't too bad really. You captured the effect of speed very well, and everything was easy to see..You used a bit too many filters though. Another thing that bugged me was the end, with the Bitmap image and the other shabbily drawn handwriting. A normal font would have sufficed for that.

Plot/Concept: 3/10
I know you're saying it's not meant to have a plot, but that's not really an excuse, to be honest. Y'know, I could submit an audio track with no sound, and just say it wasn't meant to have sound, but that wouldn't stop it being crap.

I don't know your father, but if he likes throwing stuff, then maybe it would be great for him..

Audio/Music: 7/10
I think you did this quite well, really. Everything fit, and made the action better. Not the best sound quality, but that's not a big deal.

Overall: 5/10
You were let down by the lack of plot.

sound is what makes an audio submission an audio submission
ANIMATION is what makes a flash a flash, not storyline

you mentioned in your review that my handwriting was bad
not that that's an offense but do you know how ANNOYING it is to work with font? It cuts of phrases and letters CONSTANTLY and you end up having to size it down to the point where you can hardly see it.
I don't know how to change sound quality but it sounded fine when I streamed the timeline.

thanks for the review anyways
your critique is appreciated

Weird..

Art/Animation: 6/10
There wasn't anything special here..It did the job, but a bit more detail and attitude would have really spiced it up a bit. The sun looked very generic. Try and give him a bit of character. The guy in the plane was a different style to the rest too, which was weird.

You used a bit too many filters too. There's no need too blur everything..

Concept/Storyline: 5/10
It was interesting, and you conveyed it well, but it felt like we should be looking for a message, and yet there wasn't really anything. Nuclear bombs are good? Hmmm..

Audio/Music: 8/10
The music worked quite welll, and the SFX were decent. Good work here. However, the music was just cut off at the end. You could try to fade it out instead.

Overall: 7/10
Good, but needs a better plot..

urban-wolf100 responds:

cool, thanks for the tips insanimation.
yeah your right, i do use blur way too much.
i wasnt saying nukes are good, it was just a random idea me and dave had

Badly executed.

Art/Animation: 0/10
There were a few pictures that you didn't make, strung together with no originality. No marks here.

Plot/Concept: 3/10
There's nothing wrong with a tribute to Billy Mays, but I think that you should have tried to be more original, rather than a slideshow.

Music: 2/10
Considering this is a man who has just died, you could have chosen a slightly sadder song. The sound quality was decent though..

Overall: 1/10
Good intentions, but you couldn't pull it off..

Frenzy responds:

Kthxbye

Pretty cool.

Art/Animation: 9/10
Most of it was great and I saw some amazing FBF and inbetweening, but, like many collabs, there were bits that didn't quite cut it. It was long enough, so I think you would have gotten away with turning down people who weren't that good.

The best in this category was either Makeshift, or RedHarvest's second part.

Plot/Concept: 7/10
Not too bad, some of the scenes were really funny, some weren't. The idea of the collab was quite good, and I'd be interested to see your second collab in the series, the Supervillian Collab :)

The best in this category was Dimeck

Sound/Music: 7/10
The music choices were really good, as was the voice acting, but it was let down by some people not using voices or anything in their parts.

The best in this category was Dimeck

Overall: 8/10
Good, but like many collabs, not perfect.

Makeshift responds:

Thanks for the thought out review! :D

The Supervillain Collab will hopefully not disappoint!

Too rushed.

Animation/Graphics: 4/10
I know the graphics were supposed to be parodying tributes, but that's not really an excuse, to be honest. I liked some of the writing fonts though, they were clear and simple.

Sometimes it was hard to read the colours against the black background.

Concept/ Storyline: 8/10
You made a valid point. It certainly isn't an excuse for bad flashes. Some bits were funny, but nothing amazing.

Music/Voice: 2/10
This is where you really let yourself down. Your microphone is not good quality, and you sounded pretty bored.

Also, some background music might have been nice..

Overall: 5/10
A good point, but not put across very well.

blackcat2000 responds:

Everything sounds reasonable, except for the little bit about background music... I'm not sure it would work so well in this, although a suggestion is a suggestion.
My next animation won't be a let down, thanks for the review =D

Got potential.

Art/Animation: 6/10
Although a lot of it was just dialogue, I like how you still tried to fit in as much animation as possible.

The characters were fairly generic, and you didn't show very much emotion at all. It was a bad choice to put goggles and a mask on Lenz, because the eyes and the mouth show the most emotion

A lot of animation weere fairly simple tweens. It would be nice to see some more FBF.

Concept/Storyline: 8/10
I enjoyed this. I like how you exploited movie stereotypes, and the dialogue was good.

Sound/Music: 6/10
Although the voice acting was good at times, there were other times when it felt forced and unnatural. Also, its probably my opinion, but for a voice actor that's so popular, I find FatKid's voice really annoying :P

Overall: 7/10
Good, but can certainly be improved. Definite potential.

Jimtopia responds:

Yeah maybe Lenz will lose the mask in episode 2, we'll see. Anyway thanks for the review.

Funny

Art/Animation: 6/10
I know it meant to look rushed, but some of the drawings could have been a little bit smoother. A tiny bit of exaggerated FBF would have made it way better, and wouldn't have taken more than 30 mins.

Concept/Storyline: 9/10
This was great. Everything was easy to follow and was really funny. My only problem was that it was a little too long. You could have done it at a quicker tempo.

Sound: 8/10
The sound quality wasn't great, try to work on that. The voice actors seemed a little bored, and they could try to be quicker with their lines. You could even have edited it on Audacity and increased the tempo.

Overall: 8/10
Good, but not quite up to "Awesome" standards.

RhysMus responds:

everyone does relate towards awesome, i wasn't trying to make an awesome spoof, but there was some inspiration there, still thanks anyways :D

You called?

I'm giving it a ten, simply for the name :3

Animation: 7/10
For a stickman flash, it wasn't too bad..I liked some of the slow-motion effects, and the movement was fluid..However, the people had very short arms..

Concept/Storyline: 6/10
Well, it's a stickfigure fighting movie, I can't give you any originality points for it, but I liked the inclusion of humour too, and the faces were nice..

Audio: 8/10
I like the music, generally..It fitted well, and was good music anyway. I also liked how you brought in the music. Usually, I wouldn't say this, but this time, voice acting would have ruined it.

Overall: 10/10
Not a bad movie, but AWESOME NAME!!!

I would have given it a 7, but the name!! :3

Jartemius responds:

OMG! LOL. THANKS A LOT FOR REVIEW!!!

Eeeeh...

Animation/Graphics: 2/10
Very little shading, fairly poorly drawn. Below average, I'd say. You used filters too much, as well. The cupcake was drawn OK, though..

Most of the animation were average FBF and tweening, which doesn't really impress. The best bits were the writing on the card, and the lip-sync for "Thank you".

Concept/Storyline: 5/10
I have seen a storyline very similar to this in other places..So it's not too original..it's not even a great storyline..So I dunno why people would want to reproduce it..There's no real punchline or any decent humour..at least, not in my opinion..

Audio: 6/10
The music worked well, adding the atmosphere, but I didn't like the voice actors, to be honest. The recording quality wasn't the best, and there wasn't much emotion in their voices, really.

Overall: 4/10
It has the bare bones of an animation, but nothing else. Needs a lot of work.

Assios responds:

Thanks for the constructive criticism :)

Could be much better

Animation/Graphics: 2/10
Sorry, but before the thing even started, I knew it would be fairly bad. The tween on the loader was fairly messed up, giving it straight away an unprofessional feel.

The drawing of the stickmen were fairly bad. Their heads were too big, and your arms should come out of your shoulders, not your ribs.

There wasn't enough animation for me. The most animation was the small battle, but that went by far too fast to take it all in.

For the most part, the colours were good, except when there was the close-up of the stickfigure, the text was very hard to read.

Storyline/Concept: 4/10
It was a good concept, but not very well laid out, with the massive block of text at the start, and then the snippets of text in the rest of it. If you had taken the time to hire voice actors, which isn't very hard, really, it would have far better.

Audio: 3/10
The song was alright, but it wasn't connected with the flash in any way. It was just a normal song. Also, sound effects would have been nice.

Overall: 3/10
You have the backbones of an animation, but need a lot of work.
